Thomfoodery is a comprehensive, straight talking food and drink consultancy founded by Sarah Thomas after two decades in the food, drink and hospitality industry.

At Sainsbury's, Sarah reinvigorated the chilled soup category, via consumer insight, industry first packaging and driving quality. Within the Christmas party food range, her work delivered profitable growth by challenging conventions and sourcing, to deliver a range that put easy entertaining at its heart.

 

For three years at Whitbread, she leveraged the benefits of driving range and supplier rationalisation to enable investment in product quality. 

 

As Head of Food at The Orchid Group, she built a food training and development team with an end-to-end menu process, resulting in industry leading ROI and an eventual purchase by Mitchells & Butlers plc.

 

During her time in manufacturing, she led the integration of the process and innovation teams, delivering on target NPD for multiple retailers and food service customers via a combination of consumer and end user understanding, underpinned by strong relationship building.

 

Following this she returned to Whitbread as Head of Food & Beverages managing the F&B team through a re-structure and the design and implementation of a new innovation delivery process.

 

This unique portfolio of experience means now as a consultant, Sarah Thomas is an effective and hands on leader, who drives genuine change and benefit within a business.
